Strengthen your employer brand with robust staff development practices...

To build a strong customer brand, you’ve got to start with a strong employer brand.  The latter can easily be undermined by poor staff development practices that foster employee cynicism rather than engagement.  A common culprit is the manager who “delegates” performance reviews to his or her staff.


Yes, it sounds unbelievable, but it happens all the time.


While managers might not explicitly delegate performance evaluations to their staff, that’s effectively what happens when they comandeer employees’ self-assesments and turn them — with little or no modification — into the final reviews themselves.
